1958 FORD

A Thunderbird inspired facelift for the 1958 Ford model year featured quad headlights and taillights, a massive bumper/grille treatment, simulated air scoop and annodizes aluminum trim. Engine choices expanded to include two new big block engines: a 240/265 horsepower 332 cid v8 and a 300 hp 352. For the first time the Three-speed Cruise-O-Matic was offered as well as the short-lived (1958 only) Ford-Air Suspension System on the Fairlanes and station wagons.
